Transmedial Narration Workgroup

The interdisciplinary Transmedial Narration Workgroup of the Research Unit Media Convergence is concerned with the relation between media convergence and narration, focusing on the effects of convergent developments on narrative media content that is increasingly conceived and presented across media text and media borders:

What is the influence of media convergence on the cultural practice of narration in general and on specific acts of narration in particular?

Is the narrative design of media content in various media and media genres becoming more relevant in times of media convergence?

And what is the relation between the various media texts that form what can alternately be described as ‘transmedia storytelling’ or transmedial narration?
